Each November, IWA usually organises an annual conference to bring together all waterway groups who have an interest in the well-being, development or restoration of their local canal or river navigation. Prominent speakers, academic and practically experienced, are usually on hand to advise on the important issues facing the waterways today and in the future. The next conference is due to be held in November 2008.
