Lichfield Branch Barbecue at Lichfield Cruising Club

Despite the odd shower, the event was a resounding success with over 50 attending. The majority of the eating was indoors but this did not detract from the enjoyment. As can be seen from the picture above, the event pulled in guests from near and far. Eric Wood, centre, President of the Lichfield & Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust, came from half a kilometre away in Whittington and David Pettitt, the bearded gentleman, retired Treasurer of IWA Lichfield Branch, now resident in Cornwall, came from considerably further.
