1910-1988 - Co-author of "English Rivers and Canals" with Charles Hadfield. He had also written "The Fire Service Today" with Hadfield. On 15 February 1946 at the first meeting of the Inland Waterways Association at Gower Street he was appointed as Treasurer but departed for Australia later in the year.
