Inland Navigation Europe (INE) is mainly concerned with promotion of inland waterway freight but its membership includes the waterways promotion organisiastions of Netherlands, Flanders and France, as well as VNF. Contact details are available at www.inlandnavigation.org.
PIANC - the Intenational Association of Navigation Congresses (www.pianc-aipcn.org) - is now formally know as the International Navigation Association, although it still uses the PIANC acronym. The UK section is based at the Instutution of Civil Engineers (1 Great George St, London, SW1P 3AA). All the countries we are looking at have national sections and their contact details are on the PIANCE website. Although they deal mainly with technical navigation issues, it would be worth contacting the relevant national sections to ask if they could help with info on funding.
