(Improved river navigations controlled by the EA)

Swaffham Bulbeck, Cottenham, Bottisham and Soham Lodes have all been identified as practical restoration projects and would extend the cruising range with interesting new destinations at the southern end of the Great Ouse.  The most straightforward restoration is probably Swaffham Bulbeck Lode, which has been assessed by both Great Ouse Boating Association and East Anglian Waterways Association.  Parts of both Soham and Bottisham Lodes are already navigable for smaller craft.
