(River Navigation, effectively under the control of the EA)

Horncastle and Tattershall-Coningsby Heritage, a steering group of local organisations including IWA’s Lincolnshire Branch, is promoting re-opening of the Horncastle Navigation from the town of Horncastle to the navigation’s junction with the river Witham near Tattershall.  The waterway is included in Lincolnshire Waterways Partnership, and a funding package has been assembled with support from IWA to finance studies into feasibility of the restoration.
