The Trent & Mersey Canal Society, and IWA’s Stoke-on-Trent Branch are amongst the promoters of the Burslem Port Project, which aims to excavate and re-open the Burslem Branch of the Trent & Mersey Canal in Stoke-on-Trent. The scheme has gained credibility locally and is now regarded by many as a potentially significant feature within an overall regeneration strategy for Stoke-on-Trent.
