(Canal owned by BW)

Wendover Arm Trust has completed its restoration work to extend the limit of navigation near Little Tring Bridge, part funded by a grant by IWA from the Tim Wilkinson bequest, and reopening to boats took place in 2005.  The extended length of the canal provides a large winding hole, which should attract many more boats to visit the Arm, as the previous lack of anywhere for longer boats to turn round has been a major disincentive to boats to visit the full length of the currently navigable section.  The Trust is now working to extend the length of navigable canal along a former dried-out and leak-prone section of the Arm, towards Aston Clinton and the A41 bypass where navigable headroom has been provided under the new road.  The canal is in water from here all the way through the original terminus wharf at Wendover.
