£1000 for the River Gipping Trust

Clive Henderson presenting a cheque for £1000 to Spencer Greystrong from the River Gipping Trust. This was money donated to the Trust following the IWA National Festival at St Ives.

The Ipswich Long Distance Swimming Championship

This event took place along the River Gipping from Stowmarket to Ipswich (about 16 miles) in 1913. I guess they must have got out and walked round the locks.
