Volunteer

Do you love the waterways and want to give something back? There are a few ways that you can volunteer...

Go on a Canal Camp
lock80x100pxA Canal Camp is an enjoyable week spent working outdoors on the canals with the Waterway Recovery Group. It's an opportunity to meet new people as well as learning new skills.  It can also be used for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
Get away for a Dirty Weekend
boots80_100pxA lot of voluntary work has to be done at the weekend, and between them WRG's regional groups ensure that almost every weekend there will be volunteers at work somewhere in the country restoring the waterways.
Be an IWA volunteer
fest80x100pxThere are plenty of other volunteer opportunities that don't involve attending a restoration camp. There are canal clean-up days or 'towpath tidys', festival volunteer, local committee and other general admin opportunities. See vacancies or fill out our Volunteer Application Form
