About the branch

IWA West Riding Branch area covers seven canal and river navigations across parts of Yorkshire radiating outwards from central Leeds.  Our canals cover the three Pennine crossing canal routes, the Huddersfield canals, the Rochdale Canal – Calder & Hebble Navigation route, and the Leeds and Liverpool plus the commercial carrying Aire & Calder Navigation through to Goole and the Humber Estuary in the East.

Our volunteers represent our local waterways at events and liaise closely with local user groups to ensure all canal users interests are recognised, and we work hard to preserve Heritage values throughout our area and beyond.

The branch runs a series of talks and social meetings that are open to all.
