Join us for an evening with Paul Rodgers.

Details

Time

8:00pm

He will spend a little time looking back on 2021 and then talk about IWA plans for 2022. This will be followed by a Q&A session.

Paul is delighted to have the opportunity to talk to members and to hear our views and has had really encouraging sessions with other branches and looks forward to hearing questions from our branch members although of course other branch members and non members are welcome to join in.

The major part of the meeting will run from 7.30 – 8.30 but if anyone wants to stay on for another 30 mins, there will be an opportunity to ask further questions or make suggestions which Paul will be able to take into consideration as IWA plans for the future.

Chris Hudson, who was going to talk about John Rennie, is not able to do a webinar so we will try and book him for our next season.

Waterway underfunding

Hundreds of miles of waterways – along with their unique heritage and habitats – are currently starved of funding and rely on constant lobbying by us to safeguard their future.

Sustainable Boating

We want boating on canals and rivers to be more sustainable and – even though the current overall contribution to UK carbon emissions is very small – we want to help reduce emissions on the waterways.

Waterways Heritage at Risk

Britain’s canals and rivers are a unique, living heritage. But that heritage is at risk – from urban development, lack of protection, loss of skills and knowledge and climate change.

You can help Save Waterways Heritage.

Waterway restoration

Restoring the UK’s blue infrastructure – our inherited network of navigable canals and rivers – is good for people and places.
