peter_scott97px_110pxWaterway Interests: His interest in the waterways began in 1971 and has sent him boating about 25000 miles and winding paddles at a good proportion of 19000 locks. He and his wife Elaine have shares in a Town Class Large Woolwich, a 58' cabin narrowboat based in Cheshire and another 70' narrowboat at Great Haywood. He was chairman of IWA West Riding Branch from 2006 to 2009, when he became Region Chairman.

Most time away from the canals and waterway-related meetings is occupied by Change Ringing on tower bells and handbells.

Professional Qualifications and Employment: Retired in 2005 from full time work managing computer systems.
