The nearest main line railway station is Stoke-on-Trent with good services from Manchester, Crewe, Birmingham, London and the south. There is an hourly train service from Stoke-on-Trent to Longton (10 minutes walk from the AGM venue), departing at 33 minutes past each hour on Saturdays. You can also catch a train direct to Longton from Derby (departing Derby at 42 minutes past each hour). There is also a bus (number 11) which goes from outside Stoke-on-Trent station to Longton town centre.
Long distance buses and coaches arrive at Hanley Bus Station, from where you can catch a number 6 or 6A bus to Longton town centre (10 minutes walk from AGM venue).
The best area to moor is in the vicinity of Etruria and Festival Park. From Shelton New Road (B5045 - Bridge 115 on the T&M or Bridge 3 on the Caldon) you can catch a number 101 bus, or from Etruria Road (A53 – Bridge 117 on the T&M) you can catch a number 4 bus, both to Hanley Bus Station where you will need to change buses and catch a number 11 bus to Longton town centre. From there it is a 10 minute walk to the school where the AGM is being held.
Alternatively, you can moor in the vicinity of Trentham and catch a number 22 bus from Hem Heath Bridge (Bridge 106) towards Longton, which will pass along Longton Hall Road near the AGM venue.
