International Volunteer Day

Created on 05/12/2014

Local, national & international volunteers have contributed invaluable skills and time to the improvement, restoration and promotion of waterways across England and Wales in 2014.

Scroll down to find out about the volunteers who have made a difference, whether it be participating in IWA Waterway Recovery Group Canal Camps to restore navigations; being involved with IWA’s committees who make an impact at a national level, and have achieved great successes such as the alteration of the HS2 route; and the many volunteers who are also active on their local waterways, doing anything from painting lock gates to monitoring planning applications.

Thank you.
