Cruising Rings

The UK waterways network offers a variety of cruising rings or loops which can take as little as an afternoon to complete. A cruising ring offers boaters a way of exploring part of the waterways system without necessarily having to see the same bit of a canal or river twice.

Follow the links below to see what might be achievable in a given amount of time.

One afternoon - East London Ring, Oxford Ring

Long weekend - Birmingham Canal Mini-Ring, Droitwich Ring, Middle Level Ring

One week - Birmingham Ring, Black Country Ring, London Ring

Two weeks - Avon Ring, Cheshire Ring, Four Counties Ring, Leicester Ring, South Pennine Ring, Stourport Ring, Warwickshire Ring

More than two weeks - Midland Countryside Ring, North Pennine Ring, Outer Pennine Ring, Thames Ring, Two Roses Ring.
