We have been negotiating to get better access at Memory Wharf to the City of Leicester. This may include a secure boaters service station with water and sanitation. Sticking points have included land rights and access etc.
We have been advised that there will be residential mooring and visitor mooring provided, plus a new service station. We will share more information when available.
We are also in the process of bringing back to life the Lime Kiln Lock plaque that was for the 1967 National IWA Rally held at this location. We are investigating at this time on how to proceed. The plaque was heavily drawn on and then painted over in red paint. This also included the lock name board.
