Eastern Region comprises of four IWA branches:
The Eastern Region is a busy region with lots going on in 2020.
To see what we've been up to, read our latest newsletter IWA Looks East - it provides a great insight into our campaigns and branch activities.
We are supporting the development of two new waterways – the Boston to Peterborough Wetland Corridor and the Bedford to Milton Keynes Waterway Park. We're campaigning for more funding to look after the Anglian waterways and the re-opening of Welches Dam lock and more.
Last year, IWA Northampton Branch volunteers alone contributed over 11,000 volunteer hours, looking after the Northampton Arm of the Grand Union Canal.
If you are feeling inspired, why not become a volunteer? Fill in our Volunteer form and find out more.
There are four cruising guides covering the following waterways:
The guides contain the essential information such as water points, moorings, where to find diesel and gas, pubs for drinks and food as well as the local shops.
