A Winter Waterways Walk

Sunday 2nd February 2020

Please come along, more are always welcome to join our party whether you are new to footpath walking or an experienced hiker. If you’re interested, please make a note of the date and time now.

Where: If you will be using a map find Cheshire then Crewe, then Chuch Minshull which is about 3.5 miles to north west. The walk starts from the Badger Inn car park, on the B5074; Cross Lane. Grid ref SJ 666 605. Last time there were no restrictions for use of the car park.
Postcode: If you are using a SatNav, enter the post code CW5 6DY. Or the co-ordinates: 53.14104, 002.50075.
Time: Please arrive at 10.15am for a 10.30 start.  Hopefully the pub facilities will be available.   Find the damson Toyota and introduce yourself to Derek. The walk will proceed at a slow pace and newcomers are very welcome - the more the merrier.
Finish: It will finish with a meal or a drink at the pub. Anyone wishing to stay for a meal should book their own tables online in advance for 12.20pm. (when booking form asks for 'notes' mention you are party of Derek's walking group, and they should put us together). Tel 01270 522348 or visit the Badger Inn website.
Notes: If you have any comments, questions, need a lift, or have any requests, please send us a message.   There will be a short break half way round for ‘bring your own’ refreshments. Wear stout shoes or trainers, but boots will be best and you will also need to bring waterproofs if there may be showers.   Walks are open to everyone.

Walk leaders still needed

We have been very fortunate in recent years because we have had excellent walk leaders who have undertaken a variety of interesting rambles along many different waterways.  However, we now need more people to step forward and help out so if you are a keen walker and feel that you could lead others on a waterways ramble, please get in touch with Jim, details shown below.
