To help guide our future strategy, we are seeking a number of trustees. The new trustees will use their skillsets and experience to develop the thinking that will help us to grow our influence and our supporter base. They will develop our competence and capability to connect in the most forward-thinking ways with a diversity of stakeholders, building on the objectives for the Charity set out in our Articles of Association.
If you have demonstrable experience and success relevant to our needs and clear alignment with IWA’s vision of ‘a thriving, growing network of sustainable inland waterways for everyone’, then we look forward to hearing from you.
Please take a look at the information pack to gain a deeper understanding of the trustee role responsibilities and for information on how to apply.
We are asking all applicants to complete a Skill Set Framework covering the range of skills sought for the role. No one person is likely to have all skills required on the board, so you are invited to complete only those areas where you feel your abilities or experience would add value to the role.
You are invited to add any further comment or supporting materials that you believe will help us to understand the value you can bring to the role. In particular we would be interested in any experience you may have working with other charities, whether or not there is a waterways connection.
The selection panel will meet in June and applicants will be advised of appointment by Friday 3rd July.
