Join IWA Northampton Branch at its fortnightly work party. The group holds a regular work party on the Northampton Arm to help maintain the waterway follow the Branch's adoption of the navigation. Work usually includes a variety of tasks such as painting, vegetation clearance and litter picking.
We will meet at Briar Hill, Northampton.
There is car parking available in Ringway road, adjacent to the pathway that leads to bridge 14 (this is the bridge that we find all the trollies under)
If you are using a sat nav, NN4 8SL postcode will get you near.
We are going to carry out our large winter litter pick between lock 17 and the A45 road bridge.
By meeting at bridge 14, Briar Hill, we can split into 2 or 3 groups and litter pick each way.
We can use lock 17, bridge 14 and the A45 road bridge as the drop off points for the rubbish and CRT will collect it from there.
All volunteers are welcome and should wear sturdy shoes, old clothes, be prepared for the weather and bring a packed lunch. Contact Geoff Wood at email@example.com for more information.
