Plaques Available for Boaters

IWA Lancashire & Cumbria Branch has commissioned a plaque for boaters who cruise the Liverpool Canal Link and also has Transpennine Plaques available for boats that travel between Eldonian Village, Liverpool and Office Lock, Leeds during a calendar year.


If boaters would like to purchase either plaque, they should provide the Branch with proof of passage and the relevant payment:

IWA Trans-Pennine Plaque

To celebrate the Bicentenary of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal a new plaque has been commissioned by IWA Lancashire and Cumbria Branch.

Boaters must provide proof of travel from end to end of the canal – Office Lock, Leeds to the Eldonian Village, Liverpool or vice-versa – within a 12 month period.  Photographic evidence is acceptable.

IWA Liverpool  Link  Plaque

IWA Lancashire and Cumbria Branch also offer a plaque for passage of the Liverpool Link - from the main line of the canal near Eldonian Village to Salthouse Dock.

Proof of passage is required and photographic evidence is acceptable.
