Sonia was an IWA Vice President who was very active in the early days of the fight to save the inland waterways. Addresses included one given by Robin Evans former Chief Executive of British Waterways and Canal & River Trust who had originally met Sonia through his work for the Landmark Trust. Sir Neil Cossons former Chairman of English Heritage also spoke of some very special memories. After the service there was a gathering at Tate Modern.
