IWA Oxfordshire Branch Narrow Boat Trip Success22 October 2013
IWA Oxfordshire Branch had a busy and successful Banbury Canal Day (6th October), which proved a popular day out. The branch ran trips from Sovereign Wharf to the old arm of the canal and back, as well as taxi rides between the basin and Sovereign Wharf. The branch operated four boats allowing over 800 people to experience a narrow boat trip – a great way to promote the use of the waterways. This was all made possible thanks to the hard work of the volunteer skippers, crew, waterside helpers and lift bridge operators.
