Roll Up, Roll Up - It's IWA's Festival of Water at Ilkeston!14 August 2017
It is not all water and boats on the Erewash over August Bank Holiday weekend, there could be beer and skittles too! Lots of exhibitors will be setting out their stalls with a variety of goods and services on display. There will even be the opportunity to get close up to a microlight.
Organisations such as Buckingham Canal Society, Erewash Canal Preservation & Development Association and Friends of Bennerley Viaduct will all be present over the weekend to let visitors know about their restoration work on the waterways. WRG North West will be selling books to raise funds for their local projects.
Craft stalls like the Dough Lady (saltdough designs), the Pod Floating Studio (handmade fused glass), Roving Trader on nb Northern Lights (glass and hanging crystals), Sew Singular (handcrafted aprons, bags and beadwork) and Sugarfoot (traditional canal art) will be showing off their talents.
There will be no danger of anyone going hungry or thirsty over this festival weekend with a great range of food stalls including Cafe 2U, I & A Donuts, Pancrepes, the Pie Wagon, the Green Kitchen and the obligatory real ale bar featuring local good brews.
