In addition to all the essential campaigning work we do for waterways across England and Wales, we do need some additional support from time to time for specific appeals.
There are no live appeals at the moment, but here are two examples of recent successful appeals:
WRG Van Appeal - This appeal reached its target of £120,000 (in late 2016) to buy four new vans to transport Waterway Recovery Group's equipment and volunteers throughout England and Wales. WRG's vans are vital in aiding the work of WRG in canal restoration. Find out more about the WRG Van Appeal.
Inglesham Lock appeal - This appeal raised funds to restore Inglesham Lock at the eastern end of the Thames & Severn Canal where it connects to the Thames. The lock is a crucial part of the Cotswold canals scheme. WRG is now busy spending the appeal proceeds restoring the lock through a series of WRG Canal Camps and volunteer weekends.
