Cheshire Locks Work Party

Issue date: 1st March 2013

A fine almost spring like day greeted volunteers for IWA Stoke-on-Trent Branch’s regular monthly work party at the Cheshire Locks at Rode Heath on 19th February.

The group made excellent progress in finishing the painting and vegetation work at lock 52 and 53, together with making a good start on the picnic area near to bridge 140.

Many thanks to all the volunteers who came along for the day and also to CRT for great support in terms of both people and materials.

Next month on Saturday 16th March, the group return to continue working their way up the Cheshire Lock flight with work planned to finish painting and vegetation work at the picnic site and Bridge 140.  All welcome.
