IWA Branches Reach Waterways Renaissance Awards Finals

IWA Lichfield and Milton Keynes Branches have been shortlisted for the finals of the Waterways Renaissance Awards.

IWA Lichfield Branch's Rugeley Canalside Regeneration project has been shortlisted in the Community and Partnership categories.

IWA Milton Keynes Branch's Canal Clean Up project has been shortlisted in the Volunteering category.
 
The 2012 Stroud on Water event which incorporated IWA's Trailboat Festival has also been shortlisted in the Recreation & Tourism category.

The Waterways Renaissance Awards competiton, organised by Canal & River Trust, is also known as the “Oscars of the Waterways”. Entries must relate to projects that are located on or adjacent to a UK inland waterway; are innovative and inspirational; involve participation by a range of partners; have enriched the enjoyment of the waterway; and have a proven track record of success.
 
Winners for each category will be announced at the ceremony on 23rd May 2013 at the ICC in Birmingham.
