Whether it’s Horse Bridge in Little Venice, Cumberland Turn on The Regent's Canal, Three Mills at Bow or the Hampstead Road Locks at Camden Town, there are so many iconic views of London’s waterways. Vote for Your Favourite Here.
The Mayor of London’s New London Plan makes specific reference to the importance of protecting heritage assets and riverscapes (views that include a river). It focuses on the management of London views and the need to protect these views from development. Three iconic London views are listed in the plan – each of these is on the River Thames.
At The Inland Waterways Association, we believe that there are many more important waterscape (river and/or canal) views that deserve protection. We are asking you to vote for your favourites from our top FOUR choices and to nominate other waterscapes across London that hold a special place in your heart.
BELOW are the four views for your reference. Vote online.
VIEW ONE - HORSE BRIDGE AT LITTLE VENICE
VIEW TWO - CUMBERLAND TURN ON THE REGENT'S CANAL
VIEW THREE - THREE MILLS AT BOW
VIEW FOUR - HAMPSTEAD ROAD LOCKS AT CAMDEN TOWN
