Nelson's Wharf on the Grand Union Canal at Stockton to be Reinstated

Issue date: 17th September 2013

Planning permission has been granted to reinstate Nelson’s Wharf on the Grand Union Canal at Stockton. The site is currently a derelict cement works but plans should see the off-side bank reinstated, the initial part of the derelict canal arm restored, mooring for a narrowboat training fleet installed and a new training centre built. Work is due to commence shortly and be completed by Spring 2014.
