Waterways Archive united at National Waterways Museum

A collection of historical records relating to the canals is currently split between the National Waterways Museum in Ellesmere Port and Gloucester Waterways Museum.

The Waterways Archive is made up of more than 40,000 pieces of material, including plans, drawings, accounts, photographs and audio-visual recordings.

The collection is to be brought together for the first time at the National Waterways Museum later this year.
