Local Waterways Cruising Plaque

To encourage cruising of the Middle Levels section of the local waterways system the branch runs a Cruising Plaque award scheme.  This is available to all who can provide proof of navigation to the four extremities of the Middle Levels system, namely Holme, Nordelph, Ramsey and Stonea.

The plaque can be obtained on submisson of £5 plus £2 postage and packing with proof of the journey to:-

John Shotbolt, Bill Fen Marina, Mill Drove, Ramsey, Cambridgeshire PE26 2RD.

The plaques are made of brass and measure apporoximately 4" in diameter.

An additional bar to the plaque has previously been available for those navigating the route through Horseway Lock and Welches Dam Lock to the Old Bedford River.  However as this route is currently closed pending remedial work on the Welches Dam Lock this option is not currently available.
