IWA South London Branch Socials

All are welcome, IWA members and non members.

Unless otherwise indicated, the following South London Branch Social meetings take place at 7.45 pm for 8.00 pm in The Primary Room, The United Reformed Church Hall, Addiscombe Grove, Croydon CR0 5LP

There is no admission charge for talks, film shows or presentations but we do ask for a donation of £2 - £3 per person to offset room hire charges and expenses. There is free parking adjacent to the hall and excellent transport links via East Croydon train and tram station.

Wednesday 12th February

A social with a presentation entitled:`On the Waterfront: Lambeth’s changing riverside’, by Alan Piper.

Wednesday 11th March

Branch Annual General Meeting and a presentation by Libby Bradshaw on`St Pancras to Waltham Abbey by Narrowboat via the Wash’.

Wednesday 8th April

A social and presentation on `Hidden Rivers of London & links to Canals’, by Tom Bolton.

Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd May 

Branch stand and waterways game at IWA Canalway Cavalcade; this year’s theme is 'Celebrating 200 Years of The Regents Canal'.

Wednesday 13th May

A social and presentation by the Thames 21 River Watch team entitled:`Cherishing the tidal Thames: Building capacity in local communities to protect the River’.  

Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th May

Branch stand and waterways game at Rickmansworth Canal Festival.
