Join us for a work party at Cheshire Locks on the Trent & Mersey Canal.

We carry out work such as restoring repainting lock gates, vegetation clearance and litter picking.

Please contact us if you are interested in attending as places are limited. Work parties have been risk assessed and social distancing measures will be in place.

If you are able to stay all day, please bring a packed lunch and drink. Wear warm clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and marked with paint and be sure to wear stout footwear. Have a waterproof in case of rain. Toilet facilities will be available.

Parking will be available at CRT Red Bull offices, Congleton Road South, Church Lawton, Stoke-on-Trent ST7 3AP. Their car park entrance is diagonally opposite (i.e. other side of the road and other side of the canal  bridge) the Red Bull pub.

Public Transport

Bus route is First No. 3 Hanley – Crewe to Red Bull crossroads.

Train to Kidsgrove then along the canal towpath.
