Get Involved with Waterways Restoration

Waterway restoration projects are taking place all over the country. Why not get involved and help restore a canal! There are many ways you can volunteer and get involved with waterway restoration.

Canal Camps - IWA's Waterway Recovery Group (WRG) organises week-long working holidays known as Canal Camps. They're a great opportunity to meet all sorts of new people from all walks of life, of all ages and from all over the country and abroad, as well as learning new skills. Take a look at the Canal Camps organised for this year.

Weekend Digs - Don't fancy a whole week? As well as organising Canal Camps, WRG has regional groups based all over the country that organise weekend work parties. Find out about WRG's regional group weekend digs

Interested in a specific waterway? - Lots of local restoration groups run work parties. Take a look at the waterways under restoration  to find contact details of waterway restoration groups in your area.

Committees - Do you have specific expertise or have something to offer in terms of administration? Take a look at our volunteering pages.
