Neath Canal owned by Neath Canal Navigation; Tennant Canal owned by Port Tennant Navigation Company Ltd).  Neath & Tennant Canals Trust proposes that both the Neath and Tennant canals should be fully re-opened.  The main use of the Tennant Canal at present is as a water supply to local industry.  The local authorities and the Trust, utilising various job creation schemes and voluntary labour, have reopened parts of the Neath Canal over a number of years.
