Practical Restoration Help

Each year, IWA's Waterway Recovery Group (WRG) looks for waterway restoration projects that would benefit from Canal Camp restoration working holidays in the following year.

The working holidays and week-ends that are hosted by a waterway restoration group but WRG can also help plan the work and materials.

The first stage of the process invites canal societies, trusts and waterways groups to express their interest in hosting a Canal Camp and provide the following details:

  • A description of the work
  • Any plans, details of permissions and funding
  • Any photos of the site
  • Details of potential accommodation for the WRG volunteers

WRG will then look into arranging visits to any potential sites.
