Family volunteer weekend FAQs

We only ask volunteers to cover the cost of food; for a family camp this is just £15 per person.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are arranged for Saturday and on Sunday it is Breakfast and Lunch.

Families will be sleeping in private facilities as family units during the weekend. Depending on the location, that can be a dorm room or camping outside. If it is camping, families will be asked to provide their own tents.

Families arrive on the Friday evening (we ask all families to cater for themselves on Friday) here our families and leadership teams will introduce each other to other volunteers and play team building games. During the days we will undertake a variety of activities to learn about and help support Canal Restoration and we will have activities planned in the evening. Families are usually on their way home by 4pm on Sunday.
