WRG North West is our most northern regional group, based in Manchester. It mainly organises digs in and around the north of England and North Wales. WRG North holds paperchases (waste paper collections) in North Manchester approximately once every 5 weeks to raise funds for waterway restoration.
WRG BITMdraws membership from anywhere that isn't covered by our other groups, and even some who are! BITM works on a wide variety of sites, based mainly around central and southern England.
WRG SW was formed with the aim of restoring canals in the South West of England including the Cotswolds, Grand Western in Devon and the Monmouthshire Canal in Wales.
Essex WRG has members from Essex to Milton Keynes and travels to sites as far north as Grantham and as far west as the Monmouthshire Canal in Wales! They run single day and weekend work-parties once a month and new volunteers are always welcome. Essex WRG are currently focusing its volunteer efforts on the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation.
London WRG has regular weekend digs on canals throughout the country and hold regular weekend digs. London WRG volunteers come from London, South East and even as far away as Cromford.
