Work Parties

The emphasis for the next few months is to support local initiatives, and of course the BCN Clean-Up in April.

Tardebigge Limekilns:    The Worcester Birmingham & Droitwich Canals Society is uncovering and landscaping the limekilns near the top lock for visitor access - this is a heritage project of some importance locally, and supported by Canal & River Trust.  We would like to see this succeed and want to help the Society with their efforts.

Leasowes Park scrub clearance:  a consortium of local bodies are clearing the Dudley No 2 Canal through the park - across the largest embankment in the Birmingham area, in preparation for more major repairs and re-watering.  This is an excellent example of co-operation and we should be part of it!
